The Bora necklace is a one-of-a-kind piece with a warm, focused presence. Nine strands of orange coral create a vivid, fluid volume, while the kauri shell introduces a calmer, more organic counterpoint. At 55 cm in length, the Bora necklace sits with presence without feeling heavy. The balance between saturated coral and the shell’s smooth natural form gives the piece character without excess. The Bora necklace feels summery, sculptural and composed – more like a deliberate line of colour than mere decoration.
Its effect comes from density, rhythm and material contrast. The nine coral strands fall softly, almost like a textile band, so the necklace reads as one flowing field of colour. Against that, the kauri shell creates a clear counterpoint: pale, smooth and quietly elemental. Three micro-details define it most strongly: the warm orange of the coral, the calm curve of the shell, and the compact presence of the multi-strand silhouette. With BORA, I wanted warmth and clarity to sit side by side. The coral brings energy, the kauri shell brings calm, and the tension of the piece comes from that contrast.
The Bora necklace is especially strong with white, cream, sand, chocolate, black or sun-warmed natural tones. Against linen, silk, smooth cotton or fine knitwear, the coral colour reads with real clarity. The density of the nine strands comes through best with simple silhouettes, where the necklace can stand as a single focal point. It also works beautifully with restrained gold accents, always carrying a summery presence without tipping into decoration.

Each piece is individually handcrafted. In the Bora necklace, the density, spacing and drape of the nine strands need to be balanced with precision so the piece feels soft while keeping its shape. The kauri shell is not used as decoration alone, but as a considered formal counterpoint within the composition. The design is also available in yellow or white gold, and preferences can be noted during checkout.
